The McFadden's are faithful and committed Christians who love the Lord and want to serve the LORD by Sharing the Gospel to the whole world. John was saved in 1988 and surrendered to the Lord's Service. He earned 2 Bible School Degrees from Massilllon Baptist College in Ohio in 1994 and 2004. He worked with Baptist Churches in different cities in OHIO . His wife Jovi is a Philippine national, she has a Degree in Political Science and comes from a Family with a strong Christian roots. She grew up in a faithful committed Christian family who is actively involve in the ministry, they belong to CMA churches in the Philippines who believe in the Fundamental Preaching of the BIBLE , she's saved at the age of 7 and she want to serve the Lord by serving others as well.
In Massillon ,Ohio. They had Nursing Home Ministry every Sunday Afternoon at the senior saints of Legends Care center in Massillon from 1:00-2:00PM , assisted by Jovi . John and Jovi is also in the Music Ministry, they both love to sing for the Glory and Honor of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
The McFaddens had a great admiration for Missionaries. They believe that often times Missionaries are the most devoted of Christian workers, they have forsaken the conveniences of the United States and have adapted to other cultures and made a total commitment to carry out the Great Commission, often at a great expense. Missionaries are the front line soldiers in spreading the Gospel to the world. They are where the rubber meets the road!
When The McFaddens surrendered to go to the missions field, they dont know what country to go to. They pray and ask GOD to reveal to them the country that desperately needs the Gospel, a country that speaks English and a country that is closer to the United States. It must be closer to the United States because with Jovi's current immigration status she needs to return to the United States no longer than 6 months otherwise she will forfeit her residency status. After much prayer and discussion, the LORD revealed to them BELIZE and this call was confirmed by the HOLY SPIRIT when John with Pastor Bragg went for a survey trip in February 2006. In his 10 day trip walking around the street of Belize, mingling with the native Belizeans, witnessing to them and travelling with strangers in the public busess, John saw the Real Belize and the GREAT NEED for the Gospel!! The real Belize are the homeless impoverished people on the streets with empty stomach, begging for food and money to survive, families and little children living in wood shack and grass hut houses digging for food under the heat of the sun in the garbage dump site for food to eat for that day, Illegal drug dealings on the street, men and women who do not know how to read and write and innocent faces of children wandering on the street from morning till night hungry, begging and waiting for a helping hand. There is darkness in the city, a great desperation in their eyes physically and spiritually. These People need to know that Jesus Loves them, cares for them, gave HIS Life for them in the cross that we will live in the LIGHT and will have Eternal LIFE! The Field is white for harvest in this country and The Lord opened so many doors and opportunities for us and we are dedicated to complete HIS plan for our lives to Proclaim the Gospel to the People of BELIZE.
The Mcfaddens are now on Full time deputation . John resign from his career of 14 years as Manager of a Jewelry Store in Canton, OH and as a Jeweler of 31 years. They sold their house in Canton,OH in May and move to an apartment in Raleigh, NC to focus on Full time Deputation, NEUSE Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC is their Home Church now. Resigning from his career and moving to a new State is a step outside their comfort zone. It's a New place, new people and a lot of discouragements on the way. Stepping outside the comfort zone is very very hard, this is the time when we totally rely on God's grace and mercy to provide everything we need. We dont know when or how but God always provides .
Please PRAY for them and be an encouragement. Pray that more churches will open their doors and will become part of the McFadden's Ministry in reaching the lost in Belize. The field is ready for harvest and more laborers are needed. We hope and pray that fellow laborers in Christ don't just preach it but will also do it!
